Attracting talented young people and retaining talented young people is one of the most difficult challenges Detroit/ Metro-Detroit has. Keir Worthy

Keir Worthy is a true Detroiter, someone with many skills and talents. Hip-hop Music’s history is linked to Keir, International Design is linked to Keir, and African Centered Education is of Keir. While attending the University of Texas in the late 80’s he introduced SXSW to all Black Music (including Hip-hop), and has worked in record promotions and marketing for of 25 years. Managing acts like Brand Nubian, 3rd Bass, Snow, and many more is his pedigree. Currently he’s working on Wakandacon in Chicago August 3 – 5, 2018 and the Detroit is Different Film Fest in October 2018. This was an interesting discussion.
